Train Where The Pros Play: Match Day tasters are back!

HiTZ is pleased to confirm the return of Junction Oval match day tasters for the 2026/27 season.

It all starts with next Friday’s One Day Cup match between Victoria and New South Wales – the first match under newly-installed lights at Junction Oval.

The shared batting sessions will run between 3pm and 8pm next Friday, and will allow ticketholders to spend time in the nets and experience the HiTZ technology and training environment.

As a special offer thanks to our partnership with Cricket Victoria, for any HiTZ Junction Oval booking made on Friday 25 September, get free entry to the match!

Fans attending select professional matches at Junction Oval across One Day Cup, Sheffield Shield, BBL and WBBL or Exhibition matches this season will have the opportunity to enjoy free HiTZ taster sessions during match days.

What is HiTZ and why do you need to try it?

HiTZ Cricket is an operator-less, AI-powered batting simulator that uses BatFast Tech to provide over a million bowling variations. With ball-tracking cameras, instant replays and post-session data HiTZ is designed to level up your training this cricket season.

To participate, match day attendees and visitors simply need to:

1. Sign up to PodPlay via on-site QR codes around Junction Oval

2. Book a slot in one of the available nets

3. Show confirmation to venue staff before playing

Each booking provides approximately 15 minutes of net time, giving fans the chance to test their skills while the action unfolds just metres away on the main ground. The console is easy to use and quick to set up so you can rest assure knowing your 15 mins will be filled with plenty of deliveries.

Regular booking windows for HiTZ customers and members will remain available for paid sessions on match days, while the allocated timings for the free tasters ensure fans can experience HiTZ without interrupting the on-field action.

The format mirrors the successful HiTZ taster sessions held during the 2025/26 Sheffield Shield Final earlier this year, with some adjustments to allow equipment sharing and a smoother match-day experience.

Whether you’re an aspiring cricketer, a weekend player, or simply inspired by watching the pros on field compete, we invite fans to take their own game to the next level while the pros are playing next door.

Can’t make it to Friday’s match? Not to worry, there are more tasters to come during the following matches – keep an eye on HiTZ Cricket Australia social media channels for more dates.
