HiTZ CitiPower Centre will roll out a special match-day activation during the final two Victorian men’s home Sheffield Shield fixtures, giving cricket fans the chance to step off the sidelines and into the nets.
Designed to connect watching elite cricket with playing the game, the activation will run alongside Victoria’s matches at CitiPower Centre from March 14–17 (Victoria vs South Australia) and during the Sheffield Shield Final from March 26–30.
The initiative encourages match attendees to experience HiTZ firsthand, turning the excitement of live cricket into action by offering free taster sessions and exclusive entry incentives for those booking the venue.
Free HiTZ Taster Sessions for Matchgoers
Fans attending the remaining Shield matches will have the opportunity to enjoy free HiTZ taster sessions during match days.
Running daily from 11am to 4pm, the sessions will allow ticketholders to spend time in the nets and experience the HiTZ technology and training environment.
To participate, visitors simply need to:
Each booking provides approximately 20 minutes of net time, giving fans a chance to test their skills while the action unfolds just metres away on the main ground.
Match Entry Incentives for HiTZ Bookings
As part of the activation, HiTZ is also offering free match entry for anyone who books a HiTZ CitiPower Centre session between March 10 and March 31.
This initiative aims to reward players who make use of the facility during the final stretch of the domestic season, while encouraging repeat engagement with the venue.
A Match-Day Experience That Goes Beyond Watching
The activation has been designed to maximise the unique proximity between elite cricket and the HiTZ training environment at CitiPower Centre.
Morning and evening booking windows will remain available for paid sessions on match days, while the midday taster sessions ensure fans can experience HiTZ without interrupting the on-field action.
The format mirrors the successful HiTZ launch taster sessions held earlier this year, with some adjustments to allow equipment sharing and a smoother match-day experience.
Whether you're an aspiring cricketer, a weekend player, or simply inspired by watching Victoria compete, the campaign invites fans to take their own game to the next level while the pros are playing next door.
